In the time leading up to the Connected Cities project a web-site humanhub.nl was developed. It communicated the kind of topics Connected Cities wanted to focus on. After the Connected Cities network proposal was approved its development came to a halt. Most of its content will be integrated in the Connected Cities web-site.
Early 2006 we were able to claim the connectedcities.eu domain. connectedcities.eu will communicate Connected Cities' experiences to everyone, ranging from citizens to professionals. The site helps to generate a general awareness why the relation between sustainable mobility and rural or urban development is important.
Connected Cities uses a handy java-script called Lightbox JS. Lightbox JS is a simple, unobtrusive script used to overlay images on the current page. It let you view pictures in detail or as slideshow. Wherever you'll find 'larger view' or 'slide show' you just can just click the image. In the case of the slide show you just roll your cursor over the image to reveal the simple navigation.
