Cybercars

Cybercars are road vehicles with fully automated driving capabilities. A fleet of such vehicles forms a managed transportation system, for passengers or goods, on a network of roads with on-demand and door-to-door capability. This concept emerged in Europe in the early 1990's and was introduced for the first time in the Netherlands in December 1997 for passenger transport at Schipol airport. Since then, it has been developped under a number of European projects such as CyberCars, CyberMove, EDICT, Netmobil and CyberC3.

ELTIS

HST Connect

HST Connect is an INTERREG IIIB NWE project led by SEEDA the South East England Development Agency. The project concentrates on two key issues: developing the secondary public transport system to feed efficiently and economically into the primary HST network and making stations better places to travel to, through and from and to do business in.

Good going

HST for Integration

HST for Integration focuses on strategic policy integration at regional, national and European level and on the implementation of best practice investment projects associated with the high speed rail network.

LiRa-2

LiRa-2 stands for Network of Light Rail Cities. The LiRa-network is concerned with the implementation of Light Rail schemes from a technical point of view, as well as from an economic, financial, social and spatial perspective. For this reason we use a pragmatic definition of Light Rail: "quality rapid transit on a regional scale", no matter the technical system actually used.

NICHES

NICHES stimulates a wide debate on innovative urban transport and mobility between relevant stakeholders from different sectors and disciplines across Europe.
NICHES will promote the most promising new concepts, initiatives and projects, moving them from their current 'niche' position to a 'mainstream' urban transport policy application.
NICHES is a project supported by the European Commission, DG Research, under the 6th Framework Programme.

OSMOSE

OSMOSE is a new portal that aims at providing all those interested in innovative urban transport and mobility concepts with a complete source of information.

SMILE

SMILE aims to help local authorities cope with this challenge by presenting good practices and introducing innovative approaches on a permanent basis. SMILE supports local authorities by presenting 170 successful and replicable practices for sustainable urban mobility in its local experiences database. SMILE analyses local policies and jointly with experienced European cities and towns, drafts recommendations for local authorities to facilitate the replication of these practices.
