In the fall semester of 2007 the activities concentrate on the France - English region. The final conference takes place in London.
United Kingdom: In the United Kingdom, showcase workshop activities will concentrate on implementing the 'Transport Development Areas' strategy in London and the Thames Gateway (Europe's largest urban regeneration project taking place in South East England) and sustainable transport around regeneration areas and 'showcase' bus corridors in Bristol.
France: Sénart had drafted a master planning of 'soft accesses'. It will enable its eight communities to link with each others and with the future New Town center 'the Carré Sénart'. The questions put forward are: How can we motivate the population to use public transport in order to reduce C02 emmissions? and: How can we improve sustainable mobility in our futur Town Center called 'le Carré Sénart'.
The topics of the conference still have to be determined. They will relate to the showcase workshops.
The Connected Cities magazine becomes available as hardcopy and download at the time of the conference.
